Head Coach: Brock Jessup
Coach Information:
After high school, Coach Jessup went on to play two years at Treasure Valley Community College as a left-handed pitcher. Jessup then played two years at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. Immediately after playing college ball, he went straight into coaching at the JV/Varsity level at Clarkston High School in Clarkston, WA.
In 2014, God called the Jessup family back to the Treasure Valley where he began teaching PE at East Valley Middle, and coaching Varsity baseball at Columbia High School, his alma mater. Jessup coached at CHS from 2015-2023. 2024 was Coach Jessup's first year with FCA as the head coach for the Canyon County 10u team. Currently, Jessup lives in Nampa and teaches at Melba Elementary School.
Team Vision/Plan: My goals for this year will be to develop the hearts and minds of the boys to be on purpose disciples for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For the game of baseball, I aim to play the boys in a variety of positions, helping them develop as an all-around baseball player, and not "position specific" player. I also have a passion for getting a majority of the team into a role on the pitching rotation so they can learn the mindset of being a bulldog, and to help save the arms and not overuse one or two kids. Tournaments will be limited to the month of June with the goal of being done before July hits. Travel will be in state only, with the furthest trip being to Hailey, Idaho in the second week of June. I want families to enjoy their summer in other ways then just baseball!
Season Date: TBD.
Head Coach: Nick Kirkpatrick
Team Plan: We will be hosting tryouts for the Fall 2024/Spring & Summer 2025 Season. During the Fall & Winter, we will host clinics with a focus on position specific development, hitting, strength, and conditioning. Spring & Summer Season will begin in February and finish in July.
Team Vision:
Fellowship of Christian Athletes mission is to shepherd coaches, players, and families in their faith journey w/ Jesus Christ through our club baseball program. Our goal is not only develop competitive teams, but prioritize player development and more importantly the character of these young men. We encourage our players to be multi-sport athletes during the fall/winter months while providing off season clinics to help develop their baseball skills in order to be ready for the season.
If you are interested in coming to tryout please fill out the player interest form and check your emails for updated information. We look forward to meeting you on July 30th!

Head Coach: Sean Rooney
Coach Information: Sean Rooney - Former D1 college player and former pro catcher with the Washington Nationals. Coached youth, HS (Esperanza HS in Anaheim, CA), and college (NNU). Head coach of FCA's 10u team in Spring 2023 and assistant on FCA 10u 2C in 2024 (19-13-1). Assistant coaches for this team include former college players AND former/current college coaches.
Team Vision/Plan: The coaching staff desire to see this group of boys become GREAT players and warriors for Christ. Our goal is to master the fundamentals while implementing high level IQ and play. The jump to 11u includes some big changes with bigger field dimensions. Lead offs, pitching from the stretch, dropped 3rd strikes and holding runners on become part of the game and these guys will learn to do it all well. The HOW this team competes will far outweigh the results on the scoreboard although we plan to pursue lots of wins. These boys will be taught a Biblical definition of a high standard and held to that standard in how they conduct themselves.
Season Date: Light fall with some position specific clinics and a few team workouts. Winter workouts indoors will help us knock the dust off and get ready for the season. Spring/Summer season from mid early/mid feb to around the 4th of July. Hoping to get close to 50 games in between spring league, tournaments and friendlies.

Head Coach: Chris Thiel
Coach Information: I have played baseball all my life, & was offered a scholarship to go to North Dakota State University as a pitcher, but didn’t go. I have assisted with coaching/ pitching coach for 5 yrs and this will be my 2nd year as head coach. Love the game & am still a student who likes to keep up with all the new training methods.
Team Vision/Plan: Looking to continue our family atmosphere for the team, for the kids to stick together and grow athletically & spiritually. We do travel for at least two tournaments, possibly more depending on family voting. Looking to add some assets to our already successful close team.
Season Date: We will do 1-2 weekly winter workouts starting in January. In spring we'll play in the Meridian Select League with most (or all if we know they'll all be there) of our games at Settler's Park through May. Starting at the end of May we'll begin summer baseball and participate in weekend tournaments through June and possibly longer if the majority of families decide to do so.
Head Coach: Jake Allen
Coach Information:
Played at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas before shoulder issues forced me to hang up the cleats. I have coached various levels of youth sports with the focus on development. The past five years I have coached the Nampa Christian HS baseball team, the past two have been as the head coach. I love the game and want to grow the passion in young players while developing them to be ready for the next level.
Team Vision/Plan:
Develop sound fundamentals in all aspects of the game (physical, mental, emotional) while also leading the team towards a new or continued relationship with the Lord. Do I want to win, YES; but more importantly I want the players to grow as an individual on and off the field while prepping them for the next level of baseball. Most importantly I want the players to have fun while playing the game.
Season Date:
There will be fall and winter workouts available, but I am a big believer in multi-sport athletes and encourage that. We want to ensure they are keeping their arm in shape and getting reps at the plate throughout the year. The official season will likely kick off the beginning of February and go through the beginning of July. We plan to play a spring season through Idaho Club and then will play in 6-7 summer tournaments with at least one being away from the valley.
Head Coach Name: Kevin Soult
Coach Information:
10 years of coaching youth baseball in various capacities from Head Coach of spring teams, to Allstar teams. Just finished 23-24 season as the head coach of the FCA Idaho 13U team. Played over 60 games, including 8 tournaments. Very passionate about team work, hustle, and solid fundamentals.
Team Vision/Plan: The 14U team this year will be focused on providing consistent practice opportunities, and playing in fall and summer tournaments. We will aim to play in 1-2 tournaments this fall and 6-8 tournaments in the late spring and summer. We are looking to roster 12-14 boys that are committed to the team and improving their game at practices and on their own.
Season Date: Fall season will be 1-2 practices a week and run from August to late October. Winter practices will be 1-2 indoor practices a week from Early January through early March. We will aim to play in one tournament in early March. Late spring/Early summer will consist of 6-8 tournaments. About half will be local and the other half of the tournaments will be within a 6-hour drive.
